Estabrook Elementary School is a wonderful place for kids to learn and grow from the first grade through the fifth grade. Our two children have learned Spanish, art, drama, swimming, physical education and music skills along with traditional curriculum in reading, writing, math and science. The many clubs and after school activities offered at Estabrook have helped our children excel both socially and academically. Our son enjoyed the challenges of being on the Science Olympiad Team and the fun of spelling words and learning vocabulary in the Scrabble Club. Our daughter, who is shy by nature, amazed us by memorizing and giving a wonderful speech to the whole school and then again to parents in the Oratorical Society. Both of our children have learned leadership and social skills in the Student Council. Our children learned about giving back to the community through the annual Jump Rope for Heart Program, jumping rope and raising money for The American Heart Association. From the principal, Mrs. DeRossett to the dedicated and talented staff and teachers, to the other students and the active PTO, Estabrook Elementary School is a place of learning not only the three ‚ Rs, but also about life skills and about the importance community.
