About Us
The Ypsilanti Public Schools, located in eastern Washtenaw County, encompasses the City of Ypsilanti and portions of Ypsilanti and Superior Townships. The district serves approximately 3,800 students from preschool through grade twelve. After school enrichment clubs, a full athletic schedule, partnerships with local universities, a stellar performing arts program and the Regional Career Technical Center are just some of the advantages students enjoy at YPS. Over 100 students are enrolled in the district's Adult Education program and courses include General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and English as a Second Language. Under the direction of the Board of Education and the leadership of the Superintendent, a staff of over 600 works cooperatively to provide a quality educational program designed to meet the needs of all students.
